We have completed the work on the 150 MW dam project of Statkraft (Norway based company), which has been constructed at an elevation of 2,900 meters, making it the highest elevation Dam project in India.
The 150 MW Hydro Power Project being developed in Kinnaur District of Himachal Pradesh is situated in a rugged and mountainous region with harsh weather conditions. The project's construction activities are particularly challenging due to the remote location and extreme winter temperatures that can drop as low as -15 degrees Celsius.
Despite these difficulties, RHPPL (Rathi Hydro Project Pvt. Limited), the company responsible for the construction of Reservoir and HRT, is making significant progress. The project involves the construction of a reservoir (2,65,000 cum capacity), headrace tunnel (HRT) 2,246.45 mtr, access roads, bridges, leak-proof flooring panels, Control room building and other related infrastructure. RHPPL has been able to overcome the challenges posed by the terrain and weather conditions through careful planning and execution, employing advanced engineering techniques and specialized equipment.
This HSSE Yearly Plan is prepared for the 150 MW Hydro Power Project. The plan outlines the Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) objectives, strategies, and activities for the year. The HSSE Yearly Plan aims to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all project personnel, and promote sustainable development. The plan also addresses the project's unique risks and challenges, such as working in a high-altitude environment, managing construction materials and waste, and mitigating the impact of heavy rainfall on the project site. The plan includes specific targets, metrics, and timelines for achieving the HSSE objectives.
Maintain a healthy workforce by preventing occupational illnesses and injuries through effective implementation of health policies and programs.
Ensure a safe working environment by implementing safety policies, procedures, and programs that minimize risks associated with hydro power dam construction.
Safeguard the hydro power plant assets, personnel, and the surrounding community from security threats through effective security policies.
Minimize the environmental impact of hydro power plant operations by implementing environmental policies that promote sustainable development.
